These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the services provided by Crown Hill Rentals (“we”, “our”, or “us”) through our website and rental services. By booking a car rental, you (“customer”, “you”, or “your”) agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Rental Agreement

When you book a car rental with Crown Hill Rentals, you enter into a rental agreement with us. This agreement will include the vehicle rental terms, payment obligations, and other associated terms outlined below. All rentals are subject to availability.

2. Eligibility

You must meet the following criteria to rent a vehicle from Crown Hill Rentals:

  • You must be at least 25 years of age. Drivers between 21 and 24 may be eligible to rent a car, but additional fees may apply.
  • You must hold a valid driving license for at least 12 months and provide proof at the time of booking and collection.
  • You must provide a valid credit card in the name of the primary driver for payment and security purposes.

3. Booking and Payment

  • Booking: You can book a rental vehicle via our website or by contacting us directly. A confirmed reservation will be sent to the email provided.
  • Payment: Payment for your booking must be made in full at the time of booking. We accept major credit and debit cards. All payments are processed securely through our payment gateway.
  • Cancellation: If you need to cancel or amend your reservation, please do so at least 48 hours before your pick-up time to avoid any cancellation fees. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before pick-up may incur a charge up to the full rental amount.

4. Vehicle Collection and Return

  • Collection: Vehicles must be collected at the designated location in Milton Keynes, UK, during the agreed-upon rental period. A member of our team will assist you with the necessary paperwork and vehicle inspection.
  • Return: The vehicle must be returned at the agreed location and within the rental period. Late returns may incur additional charges based on the extra time the vehicle is used.

5. Vehicle Usage

  • Authorized Drivers: Only individuals listed in the rental agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle. Additional drivers may be added for an extra fee, subject to our approval.
  • Prohibited Uses: The vehicle must not be used for:
    • Commercial purposes or transporting goods for hire.
    • Racing, off-road driving, or driving in a negligent or reckless manner.
    • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
    • Subletting or transferring the rental to another party.

6. Insurance

  • Coverage: Our rental vehicles come with basic insurance coverage. Additional coverage options (e.g., Collision Damage Waiver, Theft Protection) are available at an additional cost.
  • Excess: In the event of damage or theft, the customer is liable for the insurance excess as stated in the rental agreement. You can reduce the excess by purchasing additional coverage.
  • Accidents: In the case of an accident, you must immediately report it to local authorities and Crown Hill Rentals. Failure to do so may result in penalties or invalidation of insurance coverage.

7. Fuel Policy

  • Full Tank Requirement: All rental vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel. The vehicle must be returned with a full tank, or you will be charged for refueling at our current fuel rates plus a refueling service fee.

8. Damages and Liability

  • Customer Responsibility: You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle, loss, or theft that occurs during the rental period, unless the damage or loss is covered by the rental insurance.
  • Vehicle Condition: The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as when it was collected. You agree to return the vehicle without any damages, excessive dirt, or missing parts.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

  • We take your privacy seriously. Personal data collected during the booking and rental process will be used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your reservation and providing our services. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and will never share your personal information without your consent, unless required by law.

10. Amendments to Terms

Crown Hill Rentals reserves the right to update, modify, or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and the updated version will be effective immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
